Reports to The Hotel Donaldson Hotel Manager as part of the hotel team tasked with ensuring an exceptional guest experience while upholding The Hotel Donaldson’s Mission and Shared Values. This role has a primary emphasis on providing a highly professional, efficient and motivated guest service experience in a unique boutique hotel setting. In addition to general guest service responsibilities, the night audit is also responsible for reconciling the day's transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Excellence in Service

Ensuring the exceptional lodging experience of the Hotel Donaldson Guest through genuine professionalism.

With confidence in a friendly and efficient manner, check in and out hotel guests

Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.

Display knowledge and passion for story and vision of Hotel Donaldson and surrounding community.

Provide valet service in a responsible and timely fashion.

Respond to guests’ concerns with respect and care with an intention to resolve in order to meet the needs of the guest
Operational
-
Complete Shift Checklist and duties as assigned by manager as a minimum expectation

Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions.

Complete Opera End of Day process reconciling the day’s activities

Monitor online booking systems, filling reservation requests, & blocking off dates as needed.

Continuously read and respond to hotel email in a prompt manner.

Maintain Hotel Donaldson high expectation of aesthetics including public spaces and hotel guest suites

In cooperation with housekeeping team, assist in completion of hotel laundry service.

Follow the established process for communicating maintenance issues with Facilities Management.

Perform hourly walk-through of entire property as a part of guest safety and security policy
Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Weight Requirements: 20 – 45 pounds for push/pull and lifting.
Education

High school or equivalent

Preferred proficiency in computer operations including word, excel and outlook
