The Blue Wailers, playing blues in the Fargo-Moorhead area, know that the Blues are about feeling good. When life dishes out a dose of trouble, youve got to look trouble square in the eyes and sing a song. There is no crying for these guys.
The Wailers respect tradition, paying homage to the greats like Robert Johnson, Son House, Elmore james, and Muddy Waters. At the same time they are not afraid to reach deep within themselves to bare their souls to their listeners in bursts of creative fury.

The 5 piece band has over a century and a half of playing experience. Randy Schrenk plays slide guitar in the style of the best traditional players and sings lead vocals and harmonies. Marty Olson growls out lead vocals and improvises some great lead guitar. Bob Waters stirs the audience with soulful blues harp. Of course, no band can be great without a great rhythm section. Drummer Mike Carbone and bassist Jeremy Cahill (sometimes Denny Kingsly) fill the bill.

The Deb Jenkins Band started over 20 years ago as the band called “Second Wind”. After some member changes and down time Mike, the Keyboard player and husband to Deb, the lead singer, changed the name of the band to “The Deb Jenkins Band”. The style and type of music performed has stayed true to the begingi with Second Wind. Our style is sometimes referred to as Jazz, but really the heart of our band is rhythm and blues.

THE BAND
The Jackie Myers Band is a singer-songwriter style band with heavy jazz, blues and funk influences. Starting out in December of 2009, the
Jackie Myers Band produced their first self-released album, Count to Three. They have had some local success at Momo’s; one of Austin’s finest venues. They have been playing once a month there and have just celebrated their cd-release this past July. They are also starting to be a favorite at Romeo’s, an intimate venue down in South Austin complete with a baby grand piano, a well stocked bar and a commitment to local music.

THE JACKIE
Jackie Myers has played in several local Austin bands, including the Republic of Texas Big Band and her former band Strange Places. After playing in The Republic of Texas Big band for a couple years, Jackie struck out on her own and wrote her debut album Count to Three. Jackie will play solo but is more often accompanied by percussion, bass and horns.

THE REVIEWS
The album moves wonderfully through the songs giving the listeners tastes of several emotions and keeping their attention captivated. The way it was recorded and mixed makes you feel as though you are the only one in a private, velvety lounge enjoying a personal performance. Jackie is a very honest and provoking artist with much that matters to tell.
- – Producer David Marshall of Fast Horse Studios
A beat at once driving and slippery moves effortlessly behind the whiskey soaked vocals of Ms. Jackie Myers herself.
- – Momo’s club patron

The 6 piece Blues Valley Band, featuring T-Roy Anderson, was formed in the Spring of 2012. Soon thereafter, they were playing gigs within the area. They all have a passion for the blues, and bring back old Delta Blues slide songs and other classics through their own unique style. The group also mixes in a good number of T-Roy’s originals and those written by other members of the band. After performing for many years as a solo artist, and with lead guitar player Ben Ranson as a duo, T-Roy set out to establish a full fledged blues band. In addition to front man T-Roy and gifted lead guitarist Ben Ranson, the group includes Jerry Skjonsby on bass, drummer Mark Waldera, and harmonica player Steve Dahlberg. The most recent member of the band is Scott Brandenburg, who has a long history as a solo keyboardist and singer. In addition to playing the keys, he provides lead vocals for an increasing number of songs on the set list. The Blues Valley Band was recently honored by playing the main stage and hosting the post event jam at the 2013 Fargo Winter Blues Festival. The group has booked numerous gigs for the Spring and Summer of 2013, including the Fargo Summer Blues Festival and others in the FM and lakes area.

The Blues Valley Band is a high energy, fun loving, and crowd friendly group, planning to continually commit themselves to enhancing and expanding their portfolio of music.

Circle of Heat is a Minneapolis based band filled with lots of talent. Made up of four graduates of the University of Minnesota School of Music, their shows have a heavy focus on musicality and improvisation. Everything from blues to classic rock and funk to jazz are fused into an original style with a familiar feel. Circle of Heat uses unique instrumentation to create unique sounds, from the southern feel of a slide guitar to the occasional addition of an electric viola. With progressive rock drums underneath quirky and clean vocal harmonies, no song sounds the same. With the release of their debut album, bigwheelin’hotstuff, Circle of Heat shows no signs of slowing down in 2012!

Circle of Heat has played at notable festivals including, Summerfest, Bella music fest, and The Big Wu Family Reunion.
